Utility-Scale Solar Power Plant EPC in Turkey
Ground-mounted solar farms from hundreds of kWp to multi-megawatt, delivered turnkey for international developers and investors — with bankable feasibility and full grid-connection management.

Koru Energy delivers turnkey utility-scale solar power plants in Turkey — ground-mounted arrays from hundreds of kWp to multiple megawatts. Scope covers land and grid assessment, PVGIS-based yield and financial modelling, licensing, procurement of Tier-1 components, construction, grid connection, commissioning and long-term O&M.
Utility-scale EPC scope
Land & grid assessment
Site suitability, irradiation, topography and grid-capacity review before commitment.
Bankable feasibility
PVGIS yield, specific production, NPV/IRR/LCOE and payback for investment decisions.
Licensing & permits
Full regulatory process and connection agreement with the distribution/transmission operator.
Engineering & procurement
Array design, SLDs, Tier-1 bifacial modules, central/string inverters, MV equipment.
Construction & MV works
Piling/mounting, DC field, inverter stations, transformer and MV connection.
Commissioning & O&M
Energization, SCADA/monitoring, performance ratio testing and long-term O&M.
Mechanical & electrical installation pricing
Most MW-scale projects are contracted as installation works rather than full turnkey supply: the investor procures modules and inverters, and the mechanical and electrical works on site are awarded to a contractor. These are our indicative rates for that scope.
| Plant type | Per MWp | Per kWp |
|---|---|---|
| Ground-mount | $70,000 – $80,000 | $70 – $80 |
| Rooftop | $55,000 – $65,000 | $55 – $65 |
This is not a turnkey EPC price.
Modules and inverters are not included; total plant CAPEX is a multiple of this figure. Equipment prices move with brand and market, so we do not publish a single turnkey figure per MWp — ask us for a project-specific proposal instead.
Included
- · Mounting structure assembly and module fixing
- · Piling and foundation works on ground-mount sites (not applicable on rooftops)
- · DC field cabling, string combining and cable trays
- · AC side: switchgear, cabling and connection to the transformer/switchyard
- · Earthing and lightning protection
- · On-site mechanical and electrical labour
Not included
- · Solar modules
- · Inverters
- · Transformer and MV switchgear
- · Land, civil infrastructure and site landscaping
- · Design, licensing, permits and grid-connection fees
Ground-mount runs roughly $15,000 per MWp above rooftop, mostly because of piling and foundation works — on a roof the building structure carries the array, though roof statics and waterproofing are assessed separately. Rates are quoted in US dollars, as MW-scale works in Turkey are priced in USD. Firm pricing follows a site survey and depends on ground conditions, array layout, cable runs and the distance to the grid connection point.
Why develop utility-scale solar in Turkey
Strong irradiation belts
Central/South-East Anatolia reach ~1,500–1,620 kWh/kWp/year — excellent for MW plants.
Bankable engineering
PVGIS-calibrated yield and documented design that stand up to investor due diligence.
Grid-connection expertise
We manage licensing and distribution/transmission connection end to end.
Tier-1 supply chain
Bifacial modules and reputable inverters at competitive, transparent pricing.
Single EPC contract
One accountable partner from land assessment to energization — no interface risk.
Lifecycle O&M
SCADA monitoring and maintenance to sustain performance ratio over 25+ years.
Utility-scale delivery process
1. Inquiry & requirements
Share your site, target capacity, timeline and grid situation. We assign an English-speaking project manager as your single point of contact.
2. Feasibility & yield study
Location-specific energy yield using PVGIS irradiation data, plus preliminary layout, CAPEX estimate and payback/IRR outline.
3. Proposal & contract
A detailed turnkey proposal: scope, bill of materials, timeline, milestones and warranty terms.
4. Engineering & permits
Detailed design (electrical, structural, SLD), licensing and distribution-company grid-connection applications.
5. Procurement & construction
Tier-1 components, logistics, mounting, DC/AC works and safety-managed installation by our field teams.
6. Commissioning & handover
Testing, grid energization, monitoring setup and documentation handover — your plant goes live.
7. Operation & maintenance
Optional O&M: remote monitoring, scheduled maintenance, cleaning and performance reporting.
Frequently asked questions
What capacity range do you build?+
From a few hundred kWp up to multi-megawatt ground-mounted plants. We scope MV equipment and grid works to the target capacity and connection point.
Do you provide a bankable feasibility study?+
Yes — PVGIS-based energy yield, specific production, and financial metrics (NPV, IRR, LCOE, payback) suitable for investor and lender due diligence.
Can you manage licensing and grid connection?+
Yes. We handle the full regulatory process and the connection agreement with the distribution or transmission operator.
Which regions are best for utility-scale solar in Turkey?+
Central and South-Eastern Anatolia (e.g. Konya, Şanlıurfa) have the highest irradiation, typically ~1,500–1,620 kWh/kWp/year, but viable projects exist nationwide.
Do you use bifacial modules?+
Yes, where the ground albedo and layout justify it — bifacial modules can add roughly 5–10% yield on suitable sites.
Do you offer O&M for large plants?+
Yes — SCADA/remote monitoring, scheduled maintenance, cleaning and performance-ratio reporting under an O&M contract.
